Our goal for the Annual Gathering is a safe and enjoyable event. To help prevent the spread of Covid-19, please adhere in the event space to the following protocols, which are based on Centers for Disease Control guidance, state and local regulations, and hotel policy.
Updated Oct. 31, 2024
The health and safety of all attendees, volunteers, staff, and venue employees at our events is our top priority. All decisions regarding the necessary protocols and policies for the health and safety of our events will be guided by medical and public health advice. We continue to review conditions at least monthly and intend to make final decisions regarding protocols two weeks before each event.
All national events of American Mensa, Ltd. are required to follow all federal, state, local, and venue requirements in hosting an event. In addition to these requirements, we review the CDC’s COVID-19 guidelines as a primary trigger for more restrictive protocols.
The CDC recommends that all individuals stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines
and boosters for their age group.
At this time, there is no requirement for providing proof of vaccination or a negative
test to attend this event. We continue to regularly review conditions leading up to
the event and intend to make final decisions regarding protocols two weeks before
the event.
Currently, a mask is recommended but not required for the Annual Gathering. We strongly encourage attendees to wear a mask when in close proximity to other attendees, such as at presentations where social distancing may be challenging to observe. American Mensa reserves the right to establish a mask requirement for the Annual Gathering for the safety of all attendees. We will continue to monitor the COVID situation regularly and make necessary adjustments to this policy in the best interest of all attendees in line with the CDC's COVID-19 Community levels (high transmission will trigger a mask requirement). All registered attendees will be notified of any mask requirement/COVID policy changes.
